Life Out Of Wack

Sheeh, talk about a crazy month.

Dan got laid off in mid-February, boo. But! It's actually quite alright. We were already mentally moving on from Los Angeles and this gave us the kick in the bum we needed to make the leap.

We had already planned a trip to Denver, and decided although it would be in the middle of everything to go anyway, and I'm really glad we did.

Although faster and more chaotic than I would have liked, within two weeks (to the day) of Dan getting let go, we were on the road with our goods and cats to our next adventure. Like tumbleweeds we are going to be exploring around the country for a new home base.

In March alone we will have visited 5 states. Le-sheeh!

I have promised a handful of people that I would document our adventures and so I shall. Hopefully, it will keep you interested and in high hopes for us and our future.

To the day, a week after Dan lost his job we packed up and were on the road to Arizona where our grandma has been kind enough to let us store all our crap in her garage. My dad flew down to help us get organized and to help with the heavy lifting that would have put me out of commission.

I was surprised at how easy driving a big U-haul was. I guess RV driving will be a piece of cake. Thank goodness!! And the drive to Phoenix is much, much nicer than I-5, which is gross and filled with disgusting cow farming plots. I-10 goes through desert and mountains, so refreshing. And of course there was an amazing sunset, which I believe Arizona is known for. From there we flew to Denver and then back to Los Angeles where we got the last of our stuff and gave up our keys.

Now we just need to figure out where we will be settling, hopefully more permanently. We have a couple of places in mind which you will hear all about in upcoming blogs.

For now, we just need to relax a bit and become humans again. Being freed from the web of work and city living is definitely refreshing.
